Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting – Tuesday, 24th November 2015
The Bradwell CLT has to formally elect a board within 6 months of its formation. This has to be carried out at an extra-ordinary general meeting which will be at the Memorial Hall, Netherside 7.30 on Tuesday, 24th November.
The agenda will be:
- Update on first six months progress
- Update on Newburgh Application
- Election of Board.
There are currently eight members on the board. If anyone is interested in becoming a board member or would like more information please call Andy Nash on 01433 620759.
The CLT rules can be found here.
Bradwell says YES to the Neighbourhood Plan
With a 5-1 majority on a typical turnout, the voters of Bradwell have approved the Neighbourhood Plan.
It now goes for final adoption by the Peak National Park committee before coming part of the legal framework for planning for Bradwell.
You can find out more about the plan here.
Newburgh plans have been lodged
The Peak District National Park Authority planning dept. has received a new proposal for the building of 55 residential properties plus some engineering space on the Newburgh site. It is available to view online here.
As the CLT is written in to the Neighbourhood Plan (which is under final review before going to referendum), we have a pivotal role to play in the way that the new Newburgh plans are assessed and agreed.
Working with PDNPA planners, we hope to get our first batch of affordable housing woven in to the plan.
The more members the CLT has, the more ‘clout’ we have, it costs just £1 to join (membership form here) and, as a member, you can influence what sort of affordable housing you would like to see built.
Carnival recruitment success
And we are off …
With 33 people in attendance at the inaugural general meeting of the Bradwell CLT, all 33 joined as members and elected an initial board of:
- Chair: Andy Nash
- Vice Chair: Tim Sheppard
- Secretary: Andy Johnston
- Minutes Secretary: Paul Downing
- Treasurer: Nick McCloud
- Membership: Katrina Lancaster
- Member: Peter Higgs
- Member: Alison Johnston
We are in the process of setup, further membership recruitment and engagement with the potential developers of the Newburgh site.
